Phone List Question

I have experience in the business. I did well last year and was trained by some top agents. I know the grind and how to work this market. Used to write 150-300 a week.

That said I do not want to invest 750-800 a week again for 25 leads and hotel and gas cost. I used to be out of town 2-3 nights a week. I found some call lists I can get and am considering going full time calling these lists and then also getting out and talking to people on final expense and life. The list has people within 3 counties of my home so I can be home every night with my family. The list is 55-80 with 0-30000 income. I am hoping to make 3-4 a month before tax and expenses. I am looking at 90-105 percent contracts vs the 75 percent I had before.

The question is how realistic is my goal. I do not have a lot of saving and need it to work fast. I would be working off the 9 month draw to start with hopes to get to paid as earned down the road. I just feel if I did it with old leads I can make it this way. Thanks

Also I have a full time job now and could try and do the final expense a day a week to try it out or I could do something part time to help with bills. The goal is to be independent of the previous company and do my own thing at a higher commission. Tired of the daily grind at a subpar job. 2000 a month pays my bills so it seems I only need to write 75-100 a week to get by to start.

If you worked this full time it would be hard to believe that you could make less than 4K mo, especially since you have experience. That said, with this experience you know pretty much what you can produce so you would be your best judge on this.

Based on your scenario the way I understand it is....it ALL hinges on 1 thing- rather or not u can pull leads from that "list" u have! If u can then what u wanna accomplish should be easily doable, if u can't, then u will NEED leads!

I would try tele leads for $20-25/lead, 10 a week is all you'd need, thats only $200-250/week + gas. Unless u are very good & have the time to cold call.

I would try the tele leads if I found a legit company. Ive got 15 years of sales experience so all I need to do is get in front of people. The lead cards seem like a waste to me. I probably still have 200 leads cards I could rework over the phone as well. Its just a scary though diving in with basically no savings but at some point tou have to take the dive. My job now is only giving me about 1700 a month bring home so its not like im leaving much besides 60 hours a week and working Saturdays.

Well it sounds like you're short on time so Im not sure how or when u could cold call. And as far as DM leads, thats the most reliable & best source long term...that said, I know of 3 reliable tele lead sources. 1 Ive used, and 2 more that came highly recommended by ppl on this site, but havent used....yet!

Tele leads are good & u can control the cost easier...stop & start as u need leads & so forth. BUT DM leads have a much longer shelf life, so if u get busy at work & dont get to those tele leads soon, u most likely will have just wasted your money. With DM leads, its ok if u get to them 2-3 weeks later.

So weight the good with the bad & go from there.
