Phone Scripts

Hello: I am new to the industry but not new to sales. I was wondering if anyone had any phone scripts with regard to getting appointments that they would be willing to share. I am new agent offing P/C, life, etc. and just having some problems getting foot in the door for meetings.
 
Welcome to the forum Brent. Take advantage of the search feature and try to be more specific with your question. IE cold call, referral, lead and more specific to what you are calling for. There are some huge players on this site always willing to help. Good Luck.

PS if you are specific as to the industry your want to target I can tell you who the Players of that industry are.
 
You'll find out that even though there is a wealth of information on the board, a good script might be hard to come by. Usually people that have asked have been given the run around and when you search, you usually end up looking at the same stuff you're going to face here on your thread. Good luck though.
 
That is what I have noticed by "googling" a script, alot of the same but nothing that sounds "like me". Looking for a script for a warm leads for mainly p/c and life appointments.

There are some phone scripts on the forum if you search for them. There are also some on the net if you Google them, but not many.

I cold call for P&C but the way I do it is probably not what most do. I use a MOJO dialer, dial one line at a time, and my goal is to get the "decision maker's" name so I can walk into the business and ask for them by name instead of walking in cold.

When I get enough names I will go visit.
 
I would stick with something simple that's straight forward like: I'm a insurance agent (or whatever you consider yourself) in _______ and I don't want to hold you up too long this morning/afternoon, but I wanted to see if I could catch you for 10 minutes tomorrow to introduce myself and meet you.

Now some on here would say it's not qualifying them enough, but if you're wanting to see people, it's as good a way as any. Short/sweet/to the point/ and honest.

Oh...when you walk in for your "appoitment" the key is to get to know them and get them to like you. Usually they're asking me, "so what exactly do you do". Makes it more conversational and less salesy.

Forget his name, but the guy with a telephone as an avatar has a good thread on cold calling.
 
Hi Brent, what lines of P&C are you targeting? that may help with the script. Also, if you want to PM me with your email I'll be glad to sent you some marketing pieces/scripts that have worked very well for my agency
