Is it concerning for anyone the amount of seemingly blind ignorance that has inexplicably shown up in the country over the past 20 to 15 years?

It's of biblical proportions... interestingly enough, it has something to say about the times we live in.

No doubt there are a lot of freaks out there, but it seems to me that there numbers aren't as large as they want us to believe. After all, the little people have no power and just 'join causes" when prompted or paid, then they can claim "see, the people want this"..
