The DMV is an awesome area. .
I have been fortunate to be to the Mall a couple of times as well al Arlington and several of the museums. There is so much history in our great nation.
The DMV also has some great restaurants and bars.

Oh, I went to the Marine Corps museum again. I have been with my two USMC sons. It is in chronological order and the recently opened the GWOT area. Even if you are not a military family the history is really well done. It is important to teach our children the cost of liberty.
It was the Marine Corps Birthday. The cutting of the cake and the Youngest and Oldest Marines sharing is an old tradition. The oldest was 100 years old. The youngest was 19.
