Progressive Appointments - Anything to Be Wary of in Contract?

If you aren't happy with Progressive, then don't use them. I think it is great they are a well known brand and very user friendly.

How is that the client's fault? The blame is all Progressive's. The channel in which I bought it should not make a difference. I shouldn't be able to buy a Big Mac from one McDonalds for one price, and a different price two blocks down the road. The client has every right to be mad about it too, they just don't know that the anger should be directed at Progressive and not the agent.

In this situation, I would tell every client of mine who walks in about progressive direct, however they wouldn't have my services or expertise when needed. For some folks they would rather have an agent they can depend on vs a computerized telephone recording for claims etc.

Your reputation would still be good.

Ease of doing business is by far their best aspect. It's a breeze. If someone leaves in 8 mos I only spent five minutes writing it, not that it happens often.

In My are the signature/preferred rates have jumped way up. Still great for nonstandard though.
