Prospecting Systems

What companies do you guys use to get prospects? Not leads, there are plenty of solutions for that....but prospecting? A prospect to me is a modeled consumer who meets certain demographic criteria, and is modeled to be interested in the products I offer.

Any good suggestions?

Thanks! I also had a friend of mine try the new Prospecting System by Financial Media Group, Prospect-Pro at advisorsproshop dot com. It seems to do everything. Apparently everybody uses the same data, but these guys go through extensive measures to clean it up and make a system that works (according to my friend) Its got a CRM to manage all the prospects too.

I'm reading a book on prospecting right now by Bill Good.

I would be interested in that also. I have used the ReferenceUSA database. I can access it online through my local library. You have limited data downloads, 20-25 items per download. So it gets me the info I need.

I got this program earlier this AM, and I just configured the prospecting piece and the online website it comes with. It toulk me about 15 minutes to do everything. I did find a coupon code online to save 10 % thought I'de drop it off here for you. I've read the 3 month program is the way to go if you want to really make this kind of system work. Their rates are great. @ 40% lower than I'm paying for new homeowner list. List is updated weekly which is important.

What kind of service is it, I am interested in always learning/knowing what is out there.

It's actually a service designed for commercial realtors and researchers, but my fiancee showed me by pulling a list and I said "Hey, this is the same data I was paying SalesGenie for!" They actually generate and scrub their lists from various services to keep them updated. Thus far, I have found the data to be accurate, especially when it comes to the contact names.

I paid about $600 for an unlimited 12 month subscription. I can pull as many lists as I want nationwide, so I thought I might pull a few lists here and there for colleagues to offset the cost a bit (I even asked the service and they said they don't care).

You get business names, address, telephone, contact name, # employees, annual revenue, etc. I love it because I can pull a 1-100 mile radius from an address or zip code and filter the results for company size and industry, annual revenue, etc.
