Question About Starting A Website - Senior Health

I would like to start a website with a domain of something like.... seniorhealthcareofmayberry.com (or whatever).

1. Do I have to start an agency if I operate under Senior Healthcare of Mayberry or can I just incorporate the business?

2. How much of a pain-in-the-rear is it to start an independent agency? Is it a hassle? I know it is different in every state, so you can just pretend that I'm in your state if you will.

I'm not neccessarily selling insurance on the site, I'll be selling myself and my service. It will have basic info as to the products that I offer, but the emphasis on the site will be the benefits of having me as your agent.

Thanks!

lol... Yeah, maybe that could work. Might help me avoid all the headaches! Not sure I'll gain anything by it though.

It might very well be a headache with a terrible ROI. Why are you considering the website? What exactly is it you'll be selling if it's not insurance? Fee based consulting?

Some people set up dozens of websites for keyword rich domains for example but they don't incorporate each .com URL, so you wouldn't have to do that.

You also don't have to have to start an agency. You could set up that site and have all your business go through Health Choice One for example and your web site name would not have to have to be the same as the agency your are putting your business through.

I've never formed an agency so I couldn't tell you much there but if you visit your DOI's website or if you call them they could tell you what is entailed in forming an agency.

maybe i am off base but i dont think you need to start an agency or incorporate just to use the website as your own....most of the peoples sites i see are just an easy one to remember.....set it up and do business under whatever title you want.
