that I can't seem to get anyone in my upline to answer.

I am in PA, I am aware of the exam fee, but is there a licensing fee, to have your license processed????

Ofcourse! There is a $55 application fee and a $39 finger print fee. You can apply for the license at the exam site after you pass. If you do there is a $20 live scan finger print fee and a $12.50 fee for Sircon.

Re: Question..

I thought so, but I can't seem to get very many straight answers! I had budgeted like $150 or $200 to have available at time of taking my exam. this was before knowing that you pre-pay the exam up front. Sp with this, it would be safe to say to have $100 available at the test center?

You thinking of a new upline? That should be something pretty simple.

What part of PA you in? I have an agent about a half hour north of Scranton.

Re: Question..

Oh that's almost the whole state away! lol I am in south central PA, waynesboro, like 15 minutes from MD.

I will be contacting Primerica tomorrow. :1err:

ok, so i totaled everything up. Upfront when i schedule my exam is $44 for exam $20 for fingerprint processing (to prometric)

After I pass, at the site when I apply for my license is $55 (license app), $39 (fingerprints), 12.50 (sircon processing fee's)

for a total of $171.50. This was not told to me, I was told I needed $65 total. But NO WHERE in anything that I have read and/or signed did it say that any of the other fee's were payable by prime. So wth. I would have gotten there, and then not even been able to apply for my license. I am beyonf PISSED right now! :skeptical:

I may be missing something, but you're still going with Primerica?

Either way, $200 is a drop in the bucket against what you'll need to spend to get rolling in a serious way. If that's going to be even close to a deal breaker than you might want to get a "real job" for a little while until you can save up some cash and do this properly.

Re: Question..

No I am not staying with them. And no $200 isn't a deal breaker by any means. My point is, when I specifically asked my upline about these other fee's (license app, finger printing etc.) he said no you don't have to pay any of those, they don't apply. All you have to pay is the $44 exam fee and the $20 fingerprint fee. This is my point. And NO WHERE does it say they pay for these other fee's. I am ok with paying for them, initially, I knew I had to pay them.... and then he said no. GRRRRRRR! It just irritates me to no end, that he flat out was dishonest (or unknowledgeable) and could have made this process for me a whole lot harder, had I gone to the exam site unprepared. That means I would have had to drive another hour (one way) a second time to complete this. If you're wondering why, I use pre-paid credit cards for almost everything. So I wouldn't have had the money available on the card. I only put on there what I need.

My call tomorrow morning will be to find out EXACTLY what I need to do to cancel my IBA. (indy business app)

You might want to go ahead and get a non resident in md to since your so close.

The areas you border on are pretty good areas to sell.
I like selling up there but I dont go up there to much because I have plenty of biz in my backyard.

Re: Question..

yeah I was planning on MD, VA and WV for close sales. And then NM and maybe a few others, for sales of family, that are patiently waiting. lol
