Questions on Power Dialers

Just a little confused on this situation. Let's say you upload a list of 1000 scrubbed names for Monday morning. You start calling @ 11am and the power dialer is dialing 3 lines at a time.

Let's say on the 15th call you finally get connected with a live person. What happens to the previous 14 #s? Are they saved/indexed in order for you to call back on you next cold calling session?

How do they organize all of the #s that you don't connect with?

It really depends on a bunch of things, not the least of which is the dialer service itself. Some will just call it right back, others will cycle through the whole list first. To speak specifically to the dialer that I use, it lets me specify which dispositions to callback and when. I like having it call back the busy signals 15-20 minutes later because they're probably home and I think they're more likely to answer because they were probably just on the phone. On answering machines, I have it wait two hours or maybe even until the next day. If it's a no answer, maybe I'll have it call back in an hour, but you get the idea.

I believe salesdialers.com just calls it back right away, but I'm not sure about many others. It's a great question though.

All dialers are different, but the main goal being to constantly filter the names from your big list to a smaller lists with tags/dispositions applied i.e. hot leads, callbacks, etc. Some dialers call right back, some autotag it, you can pause/stop the campaign to resume/restart later...many ways to handle this.
