Quoting Tools For Final Expense

As most of you know I went indy after being captive for a while. Couple questions. If you have 3 or 4 companies that do final expense, how do you quote them in a house. Do you look up each one individually then compare or is there an easier way? Term and UL, I know there are internet comparision tools. Are there any tools for term/UL that are downloaded and updated monthly so that you wouldn't have to have internet access in a client's house?

On FE I pretty much know what I am writing before I get there. But either have my FE binder with me or laptop. Bob, has added a couple FE companies to compulife. Needs RNA and Foresters, though.

On term and GUL - Compulife downloads to your laptop of windows smart phone or PDA. You can check for updates daily if you choose.

Re: Quoting Tools

Without Internet access, I use a spreadsheet of the FE carriers with premium by age. I go in 5 year increments and use 10,000 as the base for easy math. I bold the best price for each age. A quick glance will show me which carrier is best and then I have the rate guides and apps with me ready to go.

It may be a pain to create the spreadsheet at first, but when internet access is limited, this works well. Even if I already know their age going in, I like to show the spreadsheet so they know I am independent and on their side. It comforts them to see they are getting best deal, at least with the carriers I represent.

Hey TRS, would that spreadsheet work just as well here in FL? If so would you care to share it with flash & myself? (we're both coming from the same situation)

Re: Quoting Tools

It's really not hard to go a step further and have the spreadsheet calculate the exact rates. You input the age and amount and the sheet calculates the premium for male/female and all the health classes. Takes two seconds.

Re: Quoting Tools

How do you guys get the rates? Do you just sit on the quoting software and run a quote for each age/gender combo or is there an easier way?
