What if you threw Farm Bureau into the mix...How would you rank these companies then...Just curious because I am have an offer on the table from them and I am wanting some outside input.Thanks
I don't know anything about Farm Bureau. In general though, the market now has more agents and I think the captive P&C opportunity is going downhill.
Due to a high failure rate, I've never been one to worry about the number of 'raw' agents in an area, but this has allowed the carriers to make the contracts much more in their favor.
There is a whole thread about the State Farm contract, even though they control where agents are and the number of agents.
Farmers has changed their contract since this thread began (or more likely, I found out about the changes). They have become more restrictive.
I don't know the market in Mississipi. I would definitely talk to other Farm Bureau agents in the area.
