Rantings from a Final Expense Producer
Did you hit your goal this week?
If you did then great. How did you do it? Did you work direct mail leads, telemarketing leads, cold door knock? Did you set appointments from your leads? Did you door knock all the leads that you consider untouchable leads? How many days did you work in the field? How many hours did you actually work this week on your business? Are you working “on” your business or “in” your business?
Most successful final expense agents seem to hit their goal by the end of the 3rd day in the field. Some actually only work 2 to 2.5 days in the field and earn a nice yearly income from their efforts.
Did you lean on your agency or IMO to help you in the field?
Did they provide superior support in exchange for you writing carriers with them? If no, then why? Does your IMO “earn” their keep by making sure you have only the very best and next level marketing and sales support?
These are but just a few items I have experience with when it comes to running my final expense business. You as an agent have to remember……this is You, Inc. Even if you are not incorporated, are not an LLC or you don’t even have a sole proprietor business set up….even if it is all running through your name as an individual you still have to run this as You, Inc. Failure to treat the final expense business any other way can result in doom for you going forward.
Make sure to set weekly and monthly goals. Shoot high, but also be reasonable. Seek out help when you need it and don’t sit around and wait for an answer, go out there and get it!! Our prospects have your money, go get it! It is your money if you have the strength to take it….do you? It is a fair and equitable trade. Life and family protection in exchange for an affordable monthly payment.
If you didn’t hit your goal this week don’t blame anyone but the person in the mirror. You are an adult and as small business owners we must take responsibility for everything, our wins and losses.
Just consider the alternative. Jobs in America for the most part suck. If you are just out of college with debt you will soon learn you have been lied to over and over again and now you have debt and no worthy job prospects to show for it, its all been a sham. Maybe its time to tighten the belt and get down to real business and figure out who you really are and what kind of mettle you have inside you.
If you are a bit older you have watched America sink into a place that is run by criminals, crooked organizations and crony capitalism with a topping of socialism to with that terrible tasting burger. The last remaining hope for you or your children is to continue to hone your skills, pass it on to the next generation so that maybe, just maybe the next generation can live in a country and have all the opportunities we have been afforded.
Don’t sit back…get out there and do something! Don’t troll, losers troll. Perfect your “thing” and throw it out there for the world to see.
Ill end my rant now, just some observations I have seen and paid attention to along the way the past 20 years. Just remember, if you are taking flak then you are usually over the correct target and making a difference.

I guess Im over the target since this got moved to the offers section lol
