Reform: Robbing Medicare

Listening to the Sunday talking heads all saying how Obama is going to cut medicare/"find savings" in Medicare to pay for his health gig.

Wouldnt you need to do that just to keep Medicare alone from going off a cliff as projected. How does it help Medicare if you shift the savings out of the Medicare system or am I over-thinking this thing.

Perhaps it's because it will make "his" program look like it is paid for even if it puts the programs he "inherited" deeper in the hole.

Same way the Brits do. You just keep bringing in planeloads of recent grads from Islamabad Jihad Medical School and hope they work out okay. Of course some of them don't work out such as the three docs in Scotland who firebombed the airport when they rammed it with the SUV. Not sure those guys take a Hippocratic oath over there or not. If so, I would think firebombing an airport would not be in the spirit.
Hard to find good health care workers I guess.
