Is a refresher letter for aged direct mail FE leads a waste of time?

So I have a CRM and stamps.com that is going to make the whole process pretty easy. I'm going to send a refresher letter to 100 aged leads that either has no showed me, dicked around on the phone, or showed some sort of interest via phone or doorknock. I was thinking maybe add a simple final expense brochure that I made to tug on heart strings and reiterate the need.I may do 50 refresher letters with the brochure and 50 without and see what happens.

I have always sent thank you letters to every single client after the policy has been issued. But for the first time, I recently sent out 47 Annual review letters. Basically a letter saying how lucky they are to have me as their life Insurance advisor lol I was told by many that my annual review letter was a big waste of time and I should just call them. It was not a waste of time. I ended getting a referral that called me because of these letters! That referral turned into a $3,600 AP Sagicor NLUL. I wrote 6 applications, 3 of the 6 called me! I've decided to make the annual review letters a quarterly project.

attached below is a picture of my refresher letter, what do you think? upload_2018-5-31_3-8-29.jpeg Has anyone else tried this with positive results?

Marketing experts say a person needs to be exposed to your information 7x before they buy. If you only take one shot you are throwing money away.

It costs so little to send a follow up. Go for it.

BTW, I really like your Dear Customer Name letter. Might swipe that one.

Do you mind if I put my customers name in it? I think it might work a little better.

Everyone is knocking the idea but Travis Tubbs says he send a refresher letter to old leads. Post #72 on this page.. https://insurance-forums.com/community/threads/travis-tubbs-interview-part-2.53706/page-4

I think you letter is too long. Otherwise, go for it. Just let them know you received their request for information, sorry for the delay in getting to them, and you'll be stopping by this week at sometime to go over their eligibility. Also, enclose a copy of the lead card.

I used Travis' Refresh Letter for aged leads and they worked well.

I only did it for about 100 leads but wrote $3-4000. I was a long time ago.

"State Regulated Life Insurance Program designed to help pay what Social Security does not pay under the current burial entitlement."

State Regulated? Come on. All life insurance is state regulated. So is all home, auto, and commercial insurance.

I get letters with that same sentence and throw them in the trash.

How about "Dear mortal. I would like to sell you insurance that will pay for your funeral upon your inevitable death so that your family doesn't have to pony up the cash."

I might respond to that one myself.

Gotta understand the FE prospect's mindset. They are professional procrastinations. If they had an inkling that you would call and/or show up at their house, 99% of them would never fill out another card.
