Repeated Repairs After Accident

Hello all. First off a little back story...Back in December 2010 my mini-van was parked and was hit by a truck that swerved to avoid an oncoming car that veered into its path, due to the person playing on their phone and not paying attention to where they were going. I took the car to the shop recommended by my insurance provider, as I had no personally preferred shop. There was some frame damage and a lot of damage to the rear end of the vehicle, along with some of the front suspension due to being pushed into and along the curb. The vehicle was repaired for well below what the cost to total the vehicle would have been. I believe the cost of the repairs was around $4500. Fast forward sometime and my wife and I noticed that we had water intrusion in the rear of the van. So we called the insurance company and took it back in for repairs. It's been two months since then and now we're taking the vehicle back in for water intrusion again. The insurance company is covering the repeated repairs, so I can't complain about that. Is there anything else I can do, besides repeatedly taking the vehicle in for repairs? I really don't want to keep going through this, and I'm sure the insurance company doesn't want to continue to fork out money for repeated repairs. Also, could the frame damage have anything to do with this, maybe causing some misalignment?

Did the accident cause frame damage? And the repairs were only $4500?

Sounds like they are taking care of it. Not sure what else you want them to do. Yes, it shouldn't have had to go back in, but they are covering it and making it right. Don't sweat it, let them fix it. Have them explain the fix to you so you can feel comfortable with the repair work.

I'm with Dan, there. Most companies today have some sort of guarantee to stand by the work, and it sounds like they're doing just that.

Additionally, where is the water coming from? My sunroof leaks during a hard rain, but it's not from damage. I guess the reason I ask is there seems to be a pretty big time gap for the water issue to the time of the first repair. I'm not saying this is definite, but the possibility seems to be there that the water leak is being caused by something unrelated to the initial accident. Two years is a long time. If that's the case, then the insurance company is certainly doing well here.

Best of luck! That really stinks that you're having this issue...
