Ride Share Coverage for Rental Cars

I have a small, independent rental car company. I have a lot of request lately from rideshare drivers ( Uber / Lyft) who would like to rent a car from me at this point. I’m trying to find out what kind of liability I have when renters use my cars for ride-share / delivery jobs I know there are coverage options for ride-share drivers, but in most cases, I don’t have the ability to check if the renters will have an extra coverage for rideshare driving in place, or even in some cases if they even do these kind of jobs without disclosing it to me.

Will somebody who is involved in an accident with the renter who rented my car be able to sue me as the owner of the vehicle ? ( Even if I forbid commercial usage in the rental contract ? )

Yes. You are the owner of the car, so you can & will be sued. Especially when they discover it is a commercial vehicle that you rented to another commercial business. Quite possible that your insurance company may not provide coverage or legal representation in a lawsuit if your insurance policy is based on renting to individuals for personal use, not to businesses for commercial transportation use
