Robliano

Well, then, once again I don't "fit in" - boo hoo.

Did you see this loser at Coachella?

I hired Rob about 18 months ago to train my then 21 year old son in selling health insurance over the telephone. Andy had been licensed since he was 18 but hadn't done anything with it. When he lost his job he needed to make some money and asked me if he could work with me. Knowing my son, he was really asking "can you pay me to sleep to noon?"

We were in Vegas for the annual (although it never happened again) meeting for the IHIAA and spent some time with Rob. I asked if he thought Andy was trainable and what else was Rob going to say? I paid Rob a bunch of money.

The training was over the course of many weeks and over the telephone. I don't think Rob invented what he was doing but put together other people's ideas. Much like a good teacher rather than the author of the book. However, Rob was a very good teacher.

I sat in on the training and have to admit I got a lot out of it. First, my son Andy learned to make phone calls and can now present himself in a professional manner. He follows up on my direct mail leads, sets his own appointments, and can present the product (currently MA but he also did FE) very well. He's making some decent money and still sleeps until noon.

What I got out of the training was that telephone sales is different than F2F. When I'm with someone, my "props" will basically close for me. I can point to the app and ask "shall we apply?" For phone sales, I need to really come out and ask. Rob's training has helped me become a much better closer, both on the phone and in person. I will readily admit that the money I paid Rob has been returned many times in additional sales.

However, Rob is a pompus ass and uses this forum simply for self promotion.
