I have a client that was long term GEICO before I wrote him. He moved here from New York I wrote his auto and home. Well this last Friday he called Safeco direct to get his 3 Harley's insured... It was around 4:30 pm... I would chalk this up to the fact he is used to GEICO or knew we close at 4pm every Friday and he wanted to take em out.
Anyways he called the direct sales center and had the policy issued... They issued it and notified me via email. I checked the Safeco agent site and it has me listed as the servicing agency.. So its our business to service now. Since its the weekend I can't ask Safeco directly but anyone have similar happening? Is the commission still 15% or is it reduced since I did not technically write it ?
