I am currently overseas; I plan on moving to FL and obtaining licensure for P&C and L&H. My intent is to open a scratch agency; I am somewhat new to insurance having taking 3 of the CPCU tests; and I used to work at a large independent agency. (IT). I am not new to sales; nor to marketing, and expect that my biggest expense will be marketing.

I have identified the city/county that I will operate in; it has 410K populous

156K Households (L&H,P&C,Auto,Umbrella - Motorcycle, Marine)
92K Homeowners of the 156K (rest are rentals/empty) (non dwelling fire)

44K Populous over 65 (med supp EoL)
56K Hispanic Populous (L&H,P&C,Auto,Umbrella - Motorcycle, Marine)
44K Asian Populous (L&H,P&C,Auto,Umbrella - Motorcycle, Marine)

My intent is to get appointments through noodle or siaa for P&C

I realize to some extent it will depend on the ability to place the GL/BOP
To that end; regarding grabbing focus or specialty area: How do you decide w/ regards to whom/what you specialize in Barbers, Plumbers, Contractors, etc.
