Ruh roh, Looks like Obamacare is hurting income AND 200 jobs at BCBS TN:

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee cutting 100 jobs - Nashville Business Journal

Specifically, the release cities the Affordable Care Act's medical loss ratio (MLR) restriction and new $200-million-plus annual excise tax that BlueCross will have to pay starting in 2014.

Those jobs don't count as it affects the big bad insurance company....It will be spinned that Obamacare is working and by shedding those 200 jobs policyholders will realize savings.

Wanna bet that is 200 votes Obama won't get?

Too bad TN isn't in play as a swing state.

Here is a bit of political trivia. If Al Gore had carried his home state of TN in the 2000 election he would have won the election and "hanging chad" would never have become part of our vernacular.

I must have been really busy in 2000, cause I missed that movie. Who was found responsible for hanging poor Chad?

Since Al was born, went to high school and grew up in Washington, DC before he went off to Harvard, many think that is DC his home state (district?). Of course this was well before he invented the internet...

And here I thought it had to do with elderly Jewish ladies in Palm Beach County voting for Pat Buchanan by mistake when trying to pull the lever for Joe Liebermann...

Then again, I had no idea that the Jews were responsible for 9/11 until I saw Borat.

Paul, Sen. Albert Gore Sr. was well thought of by folks in TN. Al junior worked at the Tennessean (Nashville newspaper), attended Vanderbilt and was Congressman, then Senator from TN before he was picked as Clinton's VP.

Gore Jr never enjoyed the popularity of his dad, and lost respect when he agreed to be Clinton's VP.
