I accidentally jumped in front of a train.

Now that you mention it I don't recall every getting a policy as an employee. Not sure I even got a certificate, just a memo listing my employee benefits.

With group only the business owner gets the policy. The employees are insured certificate holders but they don't own anything.

Group term insurance does not have suicide exclusions or contestable period.
