I have this *** client, who called me and told me his Aetna Plan he hasn't payed in a while and had a hard time cancling. I told him to call later at night when their not as busy their open 24hrs a day. I also told him after your grace period they will automaticly cancle. He eventually got a hold of the market place and wanted them to backdate his cancleation and told them his agent said he didn't have to cancle because it will be an automatic cancle which isn't what I told him. When he told me this he acted like it wasn't a big deal. Should I do anything?

Nothing to do but let it automatically cancel after non payment. MP can only backdate in exceptions like medicare enrollment
No I mean should I contact the Market place and tell them the guy misquoted me I told him to call at night he told them I said to let it lapse. I don't want to get in trouble.

There are 2 ways to cancel retroactively

Let it lapse with non payment, or he would have to call MP for retroactive cancellation.

You have no risk if he didn't pay. His problem. You also wouldn't have authorization to call on his behalf anyways. Plus, you take on greater risk of cancelling the policy not knowing if he has new coverage or not or recent claims.

You have no risk. Leave it alone
