Show your age by posting a gadget kids today wouldn't understand

Among many of the items that everyone posted, I go back to the prehistoric age. Made my own sling shot from car tire innertubes (don't make those anymore), and a very carefully selected hard wood Y, that was sanded and polished and marked with my initials. I terrorized the local bird and lizard population in my native South American country. Suffered from feverish hunting jones, that I actually got up early enough before school just about every day to go hunting before school, with one or two equally deranged boyhood friends.

I remember watching him when he was at LSU. Probably my favorite player. I recently watched several hours of his videos. AMAZING!!!

He was magic before Magic Johnson. Pretty damn good for a white guy.

Didn't know/forgot he played with Byrd.
my nickname was pistol Peter in HS,

Don't you mean derringer?

Lets have a little senior market fun. After all, we all are either part of the senior market ourselves, or well on our way to joining it.

I started working on a farm at 11 years old, slinging and stacking bales of alfalfa hay and rye straw in sweltering barn lofts for $2.50/hour. The first thing I bought with my first 10 hours of labor were these things:

My friends thought I was so cool lol.

I doubt the average 11-year-old would think me very cool if they saw me walking down the street rocking this technology today.

This (or one a lot like it) was my first music machine. I got it for my 8th birthday in 1965, in the heyday of AM Top 40 radio.5B8CFC37-2D4F-4BC1-9D14-CB3E497BB232.jpeg

Yep, he played his final season with Bird. He was having injuries and wasn't the same player any more.

He was at the end of his career when the NBA added the 3 point shot in his last 2 years. I'm not sure how many 3 pointers he shot, but he made 67% of them.

His all time college scoring record has a decent chance of being broken in the next 3 weeks. Antoine Davis of University of Detroit is 185 points away from the record with 5 or 6 games or a few more tourney games.

Not his average. Freshmen weren't eligible to play when Pete was in college. If they had 3's when Pete played, he would've average 57 points a game instead of 44. The kid from Detroit is in his 5th year (Pete had 3 years). Antoine has played 138 games so far, Pete played in 83 games. Antoine is a great player, but no comparison to Pete.
