Silent Seizures Epilepsy

The prices are quoted are high for a graded product?? Whats wrong with UHL??

UHL is simply way too high priced to use. They have no niche where they can be of value.

I see no reason for an agent to need them. That's not even taking into consideration that they are Farm Bureau.

I will have to disagree with u on that 1 JD! 1) For THIS scenario (unless u wanna go thru contracted just for 1 case & UNLESS LH is clearly cheaper & better-which I dunno, but I doubt), I think cause of age, medical condition & price (not to mention, UHL pays the same commish for graded & 1st day coverage), UHL is a good choice!

#2) As far as UHL in general not having any niche, I have to disagree also. Besides paying same commish no matter what product u sell, UHL's graded BLOWS AWAY Monu & Americo's graded pricing, and I dont mean by a few bucks- like $20-40/mo. Now UHL's graded is an ROP, so Im comparing it against other ROP products, so Im not comparing it against RNA or Forestor's. But if u compare their best product to RNA's, for non smokers, their rates are within $5 or so for ppl 65 or less. Smokers & older ppl, they CANT compete!! For ppl who started on insulin before 50 (cant use RNA/Forestor's for that), their rates are neck & neck with Monu...and they again BLOW AWAY Americo's rates if you're looking for GI. They also go to $50k....so, while Im not saying they're the best by any means....I DO think they have a niche!!

That being said, Im the newbie, so Im only comparing it to the carries my MGA uses- RNA, UHL, Monu, Forestors, AmAm, Americo!! Plus I know u dont sell ROP products- so I guess u dont care about those!!

Just my thoughts.....

You are just wrong. Now, are you saying it's better for the agent or better for the client? And, yes, LH immediate coverage would be better for the client than UHL's ROP.

And, RNA and Foresters graded is 30% first year and 70% second year not ROP as UHL. You can't tell me that is not better for the client than ROP.

I don't sell any ROP plans because no one can beat MoO's plan. I give those people the number to MoO because that's what is best for them.

Since I don't get paid for that I'm sure you will try to tell me that it's not the best.

And, where do you get that Foresters wouldn't take someone that was on insulin before the age of 50?

Ok wait...a few things! I didnt know LH's product was 1st day coverage for this scenario, I thought u were saying it's a better ROP product then UHL's. Of course I would never make that argument...and of course RNA's graded product is better, but that's comparing apples to oranges. I was comparing ROP to other ROP's only.

But IF, ur client only qualifies for ROP, all I was saying was UHL's blows AmAm, Monu & Americo out the water!! Im comparing those, cause those are the main EFES products. I know u dont sell ROP, but for EFES reps who DO sell ROPs & come across a ROP clients- UHL is the best & PAYS better! And for sure if ur going to do a GI, UHL's kills Americo's pricing...Im all saying.

My above post was referencing this scenario & ROP's in general...again, I didnt know LH had 1st day coverage, so yes thats better. Im not too familiar with Forestor's yet, but I thought someone either mentioned it before or maybe told me directly that they have the same question as RNA about insulin & 50...if Im wrong on that, my bad!

But from my standpoint- if u sell ROP's and/or GI's, UHL's is the best (compared to other EFES products)!

Now, if Im still wrong on that....pls let me know!

A few other things....for those of u that think I'm "challenging" JD or trying to start something or think I know better, JD knows me somewhat, and knows that's not the case at all here, Im here to learn & if Im wrong, I wanna know why what Im reading or looking at is wrong...so I question things. Just an FYI!

So, I wasnt too familiar with Forestor's products, so I looked it over again...like ppl have said before, pretty similar to RNA....sometimes RNA is better, sometimes Forestor's- both level & graded! But Forestor's has Modified (ROP), RNA doesn't. And after looking at that, unless the client is a smoker, UHL's ROP (which they call graded) kills them on price too & AGAIN pays a lot better. So comparing ROP products, UHL kills Americo/AmAm/Monu/Forestors (unless smokers)! And comparing GI products, UHL kills Americo!

So I would say UHL's niche is ROP, GI & for that small group of FE ppl who can afford more coverage (UHL goes to 50k). And all I was saying is I think they have a niche, NOT that they are the best. JD doesn't sell ROP/GI, so therefore I see his point, he would never need UHL. Just DON'T use UHL for smokers, horrible!!

Lastly, now looking at these carriers again.....I want to make JD's point, except I want to substitute UHL for AmAm! I see no point of using AmAm, they have no advantage in anything I see....can someone pls help me if Im missing something here?? What does AmAm offer thats unique in anyway??

Thanks, sorry for length...

I guess everyone hates UHL, but $25k for 46yr old female ROP is only $68.75. FA goes up 5% every 5yrs too for 20yrs. FYI

I do not hate them. I just placed one with them. ROP Term. But I was looking for some benefit first year.

>>FA goes up 5% every 5yrs too for 20yrs.

What does that mean?
