So what's the deal with the new Transamerica product?

It looks like it's a major issue if they're not employed in on pain medication but they're not specifically rating for disability

If they start declining for pain meds and disability they will have become Lifeshield. And if someone is healthy enough for Lifeshield, I'm not writing them with Trans.

So who takes direct express with pain meds ? Does Prosperity? Will prosperity take non insulin diabetes and Neuropathy ? Tans will still take that but many of those people on pain meds. I guess you'll have to write Rna or family benefit. Hows Rna's eapp? Trans was a go too for a lot of agents. Thats over now

The biggest concern I see is the underwriting on "chronic pain" issues.

Six or more fills of narcotics in 6 months is going to be flagged.

That's like a third of my clients, man =).

I was hoping for the best, but chronic pain and disability is a knockout too it seems.

I think they're gonna pull MVRs too.

Man and they were my go to for years.

They're probably only going to get copd de clients now.

You got be joking. Checking Mvr's on fe? Thats hilarious . I get many of these fe people don't even have licenses . No fe app i've seen asks for a license #. Trans is like the death of a family member . They obviously have been hammered with claims. Although i've had very few claims but i assure you there coming. What about Americo for copd and insulin?I never hear Snl's name anymore. Anybody write them are did they tighten up underwriting big time ?

Loyal american doesn't post date, its draft on issue right?
Yes, the initial premium is upon issue.

"All policies will draft the initial premium upon the date of the policy activation/issue, regardless of the requested date of coverage. Subsequent drafts will occur on the applicant's chosen draft date. The applicant may select any day, excluding the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month. If no draft date is indicated on the application, the drafts will occur on the same day of the month corresponding to the effective date of the policy. For example, if the policy is effective April 15, the policy will draft subsequent premiums on the 15th of each month."
