I have a suggestion to avoid all these jackasses.

Perhaps Val can set something up where the 1st post must be in an introduction sub-forum. This would then be seen by a moderator and the person given a "go" or "no go" for future posts.

While I just love the C&P crap about how we should buy auto insurance, blog, not pick scabs, etc, but maybe we can cut them down to a more reasonable amount.

And if you are new or thinking about joining, you are catagorized in a probationary sub-catagory?

Some forums require moderation until you submit X number of posts. That should be simple enough here.

wasnt there another insurance forum a couple years ago that was "military" based.

Everybody had rankings.

I remeber they started doing alot of rules and in the end the board became junk that was controlled and edited by a handful of moderators.

That would be Top Gun Producers. They are still around.

Topgunproducers uses this. TGP has almost no worthless post and SPAM is not tolerated at all. Truthful TGP has the best content of any forum and is probably stronger now than ever. When you make a forum too open all you get is nonsense. I know because I moderate one like that.

Actually, I think this Forum has the right mix of information and nonsense. Sure, there are spammers but they get called out quickly.
