Stacking Policies

I will be calling RNA underwriting tomorrow.

Here is the full background on this case.

This client was my son's pre-school teacher. I told her that I did life insurance about two years ago. In Nov 12' she approached me to help her and her husband (now 71) with their policies. She advised me that they had Primerica.

After sitting with them and then running numbers I initially wrote up two GUL's for them, 100K on each. She is 57. Well....the husband came back declined due to a bundle branch block and the wife came back rated table 4 due to pain from a car accident that messed up her back. I initially wrote these apps while I was with AGLA and when I went INDY I tried through Trans. Again, he was declined and she was rated. When I left AGLA the case with AGLA was turned over to another agent and that agent was trying to put her into a 50K GUL. Not bad on the surface but I was able to point out that the GUL had no CV to help with a RPU policy is she so desired. So I was able to get her a 50K Assurity FE policy.

At the time I was still mainly focused on traditional life and didn't know all about FE. Since she is coming up on her 13th month with the Assurity policy I'm trying to see if I can save her $$$ since she is paying a combined $320 a month for her and her husbands 25K Trans policy, hers is 138 and his is 181.

I'm with EFES and I'm trying to use the carriers that I've already got. In regards to RNA I will be calling underwriting tomorrow to ask about the question about if the insured has ever been rated and see if that will effect her being approved.

She is a school teacher and doesn't make a ton of money so I'm trying to find her the most cost effective plan that I can get her. If after the 13th month and I don't have anything but there is something else available that I don't have access to I will farm it out so she gets taken care of.

Nothing wrong with it, Assurity is a great company. Just that by switching companies I can save her $$$.

I did post a background on the case.

RNA is not Oxford. They don't care what what other companies have done. They will underwrite the conditions as is without catering to another company.

And, you cetainly don't want to fool with layfayette Life for these two. That would be just adding fuel to the fire.

Nor would I call RNA. Just write the apps, let them take the exam and see where it falls.
