State Farm Vs Progressive

The last 2 days i had 2 clients from state farm saying they're paying $90 a month on their vehicles for full coverage.
When i quoted them with progressive i came very expensive like $140 a month. What's funny is when i quoted them on progresive's website they came cheaper than statefarm at $85.
I called progressive about this and they said i should run a pos before i give them a price cause it will update the information, i did and it came more expensive as she had a no hit claim.
What are your thoughts on this? i think i should get more markets i'm very dissapointed with progressive right now.

My quote was double the price than the online quote.
The guy from progressive i called his excuse was he couldn't see her driver's license number after i ordered a pos while i had typed her license number too then he said it didn't match or it couldn't verify.
Oh well lesson learned, i'm thinking right now to get more markets through smart choice, is there anything i should be careful with smartchoice?

RBA I don't think Progressive would cancel you if you only wrote one policy a year! lol The will appoint anyone.

Yeah I don't write much auto with progressive, their rates are all over the place it seems. However, I write all my motorcycle and ATV's with them. They are very good in this area.

They sell direct much cheaper than they sell through agents.

The Mayor is 100% correct. Progressive makes doing business so easy most agents use them for motorcycles or stuff that doesn't fit with preferred carriers. I hate them but I need them.
