Infinity told me agencies need to be a year in business but for me they told me to call them back in 6 months lol, i heard from other new agents having much better luck than me getting approved by infinity immediately but that was a year ago, i think the reason they told me to wait was cause of the massive insurance fraud that was commited in tampa florida recently. Mendota Foremost and others have put a hold too on appointing new agents.

oh that sucks, when I signed up with Infinity, immediately I reserved all 3 tiers of their company.

low-cost (sub-standard)
value-added (middle market)
Premier (preferred)
ah ya, I also got the commercial auto lines....
 
....and Progressive will ask you to use their outdoor sign and otherwise support and show their brand name so they get more exposure that drives your customer or potential customer to the Direct side where they get a much cheaper price.

I have had this happen so I asked my territory rep about it and guess what I found out? Progressive Direct rates are less expensive than the rates that we as agents can sell their policies for. How's that for loyalty from Progressive to their agents?

...Most IA's honor this "loyalty" by placing clients their other carriers want no part of with them. Progressive get's my motorcycles and anyone with 3+ incidents or new drivers.
 
Non Standard marke is where the money is. Big premium and you can charge a brokers fee.. Wonder what is the broker fee on guy with 2 accidents, 2 tickest and 1 DUI and drives a Lexus.....................................................................
 
We're hitting pretty good with all types of auto risks with Progressive right now. I'd like to get to the preferred agent status for the better commissions but we aren't there yet. There systems are impossible to beat with everyone we have.
 
You have to sell 24 "preferred" auto in 6 months to get the 15/12 commission right? All of my clean drivers want to package their home with the same company so it's a catch 22 on my end. I don't know if I will ever sell 4 preferred a month with them.
