Transitioning to insurance from mortgage world; I have Life, health & VA, and just passed my general lines test (2-20 license) . Live in south florida.
I have an interview scheduled for state farm, any ideas what to expect. Your responses are greatly appreciated.
100% corporate GARBAGE.the first interview will be about scheduling you for the Limra test. It's a test to see how well you are suited to be an agent,
100% corporate GARBAGE.
Those tests are CRAP they are designed to see if you can live off of the pennies you will be receiving as you eat dirt and slow build a captive business with uncompetative products and massive competition.
Bottom line if you WANT to do it, and have the ABILITY to do it they won't run you away. Too bad there are offices on every street corner. I am certain they will make you get your P&C, and securities licenses as well - I am not a fan of the securities license, but you won't have a choice in the matter.
I hope you have a couple hundred grand socked away while this takes years to build, they have a set defined formula - it can work well, if you have time and lots of it.
I already took the LIMRA test, which from my understanding was if you were qualified to open a storefront. Needless to say I failed test.
