statefarm interview;have L&H, general lines

dang, you are correct, I went to the site and no farmers in fla. I guess too many hurricanes there. They have problems/issues in TX, but still here.

The test, or some variation thereof, has been around for at least 35 years (and longer). Mostly the big mutual companies put a lot of stock in them. The first time I took it I failed miserably. The second time I passed. I took it several times thereafter, including a few for co-workers, and got better each time. The last time I took it I scored the highest anyone ever had for that particular situation (at least that's what they told the lady who was applying for the job and asked me to take it for her).

You could probably take it again and do well. Just take it with the attitude of one who is sociopathic and out to screw the world in order to make a buck.

My suggestion is to hook up with Paul (moonlight) and let him give you some pointers.

Why should you have to go into it with split personalities, or guess "how they want you to answer"

Personality tests are complete garbage - I refused many jobs because I refuse to take them, and now look at me...

...wait maybe that wasn't a good example... lol...

During this season of "peace on earth, goodwill toward men" Bob, I appreciate the compliment!

I'll have you know I've passed the LIMRA test every time I took it (3 or 4?)...

On a side note, Isn't "A Christmas Story" the best xmas movie ever? Darren McGavin (sp?) and the kid with the glasses...priceless roles...

Guess it did sound like I was telling Boxer to call Paul the Sociopath . . .

Probably should proof these things before hitting the button.

Perhaps I should have said to call Paul the recovering sociopath.

Better?

Bob, thanks for clarifying. While I'm many years into my sociopath recovery, I can refer him to a good 12 step sociopath program...

I'm a former SF Agency Team Member and I just started with an independent agency a short while back. To be honest I get most of my 'referrals' from Team Members that I knew while working at SF. The price model that SF uses is so intricately formulated even those who seem to meet the 'eligibility' status have problems getting a GREAT RATE!! However, the agency and marketing techinques and experiences have been beneficial working on the independent side, since SF has strong focus on retention and multi-lining ("deepening your book").
Back to the actual question...I have heard from a couple of Team Member who applied for an agency (some more than once) and they seem to say 'politics' has a hand in some of the decision making.
