Stonebridge FE

You mean like streamlining to be more efficient?? I can't see that from them. I could see them adding two or three more identical companies just to muck things up a little more, as if that's possible?

What (sort of) aggravates me is that if you contract with TA/SB with an IMO then you can't contract with Monumental within the same house. I've heard you can do so through another IMO, or directly, though.

Incidentally, would someone tell me the "textbook" difference between and IMO, a FMO, and a GA? Thx

first off. Stonebridge Is Transamerica. they were merged last October for products and In name In January. all FE Is the Monumental products. I know this because that Is how we became a trans/monlife IMO. If you are a Trans IMO, you may recognize that the IUL now sold Is In fact the Stonbridge IUL. we are all Trans now with Aegon

If you are stuck with a crap contract with Monumental and dont want to wait 6 months and still want to write their product... You can

Get contracted with Stonebridge

Use the Monumental application and just put your Stonebridge number on it...

Exact same underwriting and rates...

That does not work any longer. You have to disclose on the app all Aegon writing numbers. They will pick it up per your Social Security number.

This was plugged up a couple of months ago.

Hmmm, odd...

I have one in the pipeline as we speak- seems to be going through pretty good..

When I went on agent net info under my stonebridge #, and selected forms etc.. there was no app for the final expense plan, just your typical Bank, Hippa, questonaire etc.. when I called them last week the Rep there told me to use the Monumnetal app and to put my Stonebridge #

Policy is in with an open PHI requirement- should be completed by today.. Guess I'll soon find out ...

Stonebridge was merged into Transamerica on 1/1 and all product is now Transamerica product.

AgentNetInfo shows the Stonebridge Logo, but you are now merged with Transamerica.

A Stonebridge number if it is older than 7 months or prior to 1/1/12 may work still. Aegon uses a single writing number for all companies now and has been merging them slowly.

If you apply for a contract now they will enforce the 6 month rule. We are formally a Stonebridge IMO now a Transamerica/Monumental IMO

Interesting

I been with Trans america and even Life Investors back in the day.. think it was around 1998... Contracted with Stonebridge in 2005 and Monumnetal recently in 2010

Use to write a crap load of business back in the mortgage days with Life Investors and Trans.. been awhile since I've placed anything with TA... You say now they'll be just 1 agent # for both TA and Monumnetal?

How will that work with an agent that has both those companies through different IMO's like I do?

They will separate IMO's upon request from Agent and IMO. New contracts will automatically have a dual appt with Trans and MonLife. If you have not written any business with MonLife, you can go with another IMO and still actively write Trans bus with the other IMO.

Obviously, you need the IMO to sign off first if you have been under 6 months since writing the business or getting contracted. Most IMO's will release the MonLife Contract, but there are some real pricks out there that do not release for any reason.

Now your IMO with Trans and your IMO with MonLife have to be separate, you can't write MonLife business with a Trans/stonebridge number when you have a MonLife writing number under another IMO.

The MonLife Only IMO's don't offer all the Trans Products, usually only the Old Stonebridge IUL - Freedom, which is now sold under the Trans Name. Where as the Trans IMO has all the products including a pretty good term product plus the MonLife FE products.

Yesterday I ran into a lady who bought stonebridge FE, she thinks she got about 18,000 but I bet she got only 10,000, did not show me the policy. But she had told me that a young man came out to the house with a lady manager training him.
