Storms are fickle. One street will have minimum damage, the next street is a war zone. My favorite bbq joint just got power back today.
I know a guy who had 8 power poles on his street snapped in two. Duke Power says its a 4hr job, minimum, to replace a single broken power pole. 32hrs of work minimum on that street alone. A lot of those streets have temporary poles set up.
Heck of a time to come back to the states.
I was in Orlando and our flight was cancelled on Tuesday.
Was able to pick up a flight to Houston on Wednesday and we eventually worked our way to Illinois where I am rested and dry.
