Success On The Doors!

I don't mean to sound rude but this seems like a waste of time to me.

If these people are willing to let you in their home to quote them, they would of most likely allowed you to quote them over the phone which would of saved you more then half the time you spent driving and walking around knocking on doors.

I could be wrong but just seems like an outdated way of doing business unless your jehovah's witness.

Couldn't disagree more. Very few agents will go door to door so it's a way being different than others.

I won't do it and neither will you. Perhaps that why it works for those who aren't quite as lazy.

And the correct use above is you're since you were writing "you are."

I agree with Rick. I will give a door knocker a better listen in a phone caller. Most of the time the phone will never be answered.

Hate to say this but that means "never". The only way you will ever do it is to do it "today"before you have a chance to talk yourself out of it.
 
I have no doubt it is working well for you. There was another agent from MN a while back doing the same thing for P&C and having a lot of success. If you knocked on my door, I would listen and let you quote me. If I was selling P&C, that is what I would be doing.

My guess is most of the producers doing well probably don't have as much time to spend on this board, it gets old when someone shares and then gets insulted for their minimum post count.

That is one thing I never understood about this forum. The # of posts someone has means nothing to me other than telling me many agents on here have a lot more time to waste on here than I do. There is often some valuable info here. As far as the door knocking method, I have done it with limited success. I got out of the habit through the cold winter but as it warms up I will try to knock on 3 or 4 doors surrounding the leads that I'm calling on.
