Suspicious Link Trade Requests

My site has several pages dedicated to "other resources" along with a submit link request form. These were put into place to foster link trade requests.

Lately I have been getting many requests from email addresses suggesting an affiliation with an SEO firm, and the link back pointing to my site comes from an obvious link farm seemingly dedicated to health insurance.

My response has been to ignore these requests. But it causes me to wonder what these pages are about, what these people are trying to accomplish, if it is working, and if it will work long term.

Any thoughts?
