Term Conversions, AOR, Commissions

Hi Guys,

Figured I'd put this in here because the lead was generated using an FE mailer.

I have a prospect with a Transy 10-Year, 100K Term up within the next few years.

He and his wife also have a Primerica term policy (Gawd what a rip-off).

Anyway, he's considering whole life, and *I* wondered if y'all might know if he has conversion privilege on his term (he couldn't find his policy, and, yes, he did look everywhere for it, so he's not bullshitting me).

He hasn't talked to his agent in years, so I was wondering if there is commission opportunity if I become the Agent of Record and set up the conversion for him.

Thanks for the insight; never done this before.

No opportunity with the Primerica policy except replacement. Your best bet on the TA policy is to do a three way call to TA and get a quote from policy change. They will know what that particular plan can convert to, if any.

Probably full comp to you on the conversation if no active agent. Call before doing it. I have been stung by this before. I always look them up on the DOI website. If he is active you may need to be get a release to get paid.

Does TA have whole life?
