I made a follow up thank you card to send to clients right after their policy is issued. My upline thought it was great & I got the idea from some video someone posted about persistency....but what do you guys think? If all goes according to plan, my 1st thank you will be going out next week...

Congrats on making the responsible decision to protect your family, just like you provide for your family everyday in so many ways....someday, this policy will provide what you no longer can. Put it in a safe place for now, and promise to keep it current. One day when it is needed it will be there, just like you've always been for your family! :)

Your Life Ins. Agent,

Thoughts???

I use SoC and send a card to almost everyone I meet with. I definately send a card to everyone that buys. It's part of my application process. When I get in for the day and am scubbing my apps and faxing in my apps I pull up SoC and sen them a card. A file is not closed until I have "card sent" written on it.

I used to send a "nice to have met you" card to every person I met with that did not buy. I've talored that more now to selecting the ones that I thought on the brink of buying but just couldn't get them to sign up. The people that do not buy because of no money or no bank accounts I do not bother to send a follow up card anymore.

It is nice. For myself I would spell out the "Congratulations" And eliminate the "Just.....ways" But it is good as is. I may plagiarize it.

Bit wordy for my taste, but nothing wrong with it. If that's how you talk to cleitns you should keep it that way.

I think you will find many seniors do not abbreviate their words in speech and rarely in writing.

I hope you get a hand cramp from having to write so many thank you notes over the next year.

Feels good doesn't it. I wish I could get that first app feeling again. Did you come out high fiveing yourself?

I like it with the modifications already mentioned. I would also take out the "....." and just make a new sentence. Older people can be sticklers for those kinds of things.

Perhaps it's just me, so take it for what it's worth.

If you are asking the new client to "promise" to do something... I think it's only fair and polite for the agent to "promise" something - ongoing service, information, return calls promptly... something basic, but something.

Just my $.02.

BTW, sending out a thank you card is much better than not sending one. So good job!
