Thank You Card Thoughts!!

Do they sell the cards in lots of 25, 50 or 100 Not filled in? They have some very creative eye catching cards. Like Brik03 I prefer to hand sign them. I have someone to do it for me so it is not an issue of time.

I don't think they do. I do personalize every one that I send. I use their handwriting font, but, yes, a person can tell that's it not handwritten.

If you want to them actually handwritten and signed then I don't believe that SoC would be a good deal. You can buy cards in 50 or 100 sets at the Dollar Store for very little money. Ten or fifteen cents per card.

I'm thinking of doing that once my point total with SoC gets low again. Not so much for the way the cards look, I've gotten tons of great feedback on the cards. It's a time issue with me. I could handwrite a card in the time it takes me to fill it out on line, so that's a wash. It's the client getting the cards. It takes a week on average for SoC to get the cards to the addressee here. if I sent them myself they would have then in a couple of days. The fact that they would be truly handwritten is just a bonus. It is also cheaper to do your own, but not enough to sweat over.

Funny, I feel just the opposite.

I have hand written cards in the past and finally decided to try SoC. I find it a huge time saver and well worth it. I can type up a card a heck of a lot faster, and it taking a few days longer to get there doesn't bother me at all.

If you find a good source for creative cards let us all know. I will do the same.

I'm not real computer savvy and I don't type very fast either. When I do try to type faster I make maore errors.

The time of writing a card vs doing it with SoC would probably be about the same for me.

I don't like the time it takes them to get card to the client. Plus I can do my own for less than a dollar where it costs me about $2.50 to send one with SoC.

Here's the video mentioned above... Sorry it was a little corny, but the agent I learned this from absolutely swears by its effectiveness with FE cases, so I wanted to share it with my people.. hence, the video.

Here's the info on Send Out Cards: Automatic Referrals for Insurance Agents

For the last four years, I've found it much better to have a card campaign launched automatically with my new clients, rather than remembering to send a Thank You card immediately, then follow up cards on a specific schedule over the next year, including their birthdays.

The referral cards are part of that campaign and are highly effective and, again, sent automatically at a specified time in the relationship. With Medicare Supplement sales, this has paid for itself over, over, and over again.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard positive reactions over the years to the cards. It has completely separated me from other agents that these folks have dealt with. The persistency, new clients, and positive on-going relationships it has fostered over the years has made it an integral part of my business.

Chris,

Do you track most of your results? Have you tried the "referral system"? What kind of real results are you seeing for both FE and Med Supp?

Yes.

When I first did a referral postcard to 100 clients as a test campaign, it resulted in 33 new cases written over the next 30 days. They all were a direct result of the postcard going out and then spreading from there. The postcard should show up here...

It was a huge success.

On final expense, no, I don't see a lot of referrals, no matter what I send them. I think of that campaign more of a way to stay in touch to keep a lifeline to them as a course of doing good business.

A hand written card goes out to everyone that I meet that gives me the time of day.......irrespective of whether I make a sale or not.

The sale is made when I am given the opportunity to earn their business.
