The Demise of Web Brokers

I was looking at the Youtube videos and INSXCloud seems to work exactly like HealthSherpa today redirecting. In other words, a minimum of benefit for a lot of money. The fact that you skip creating an account in Hcgov saves time, but actually it's a con as a customer will not be able to access there own account.

A customer can always access their own information if they want to. They create a healthcare.gov account on their own and pull their application into it just like when we look one up (with the application number, which they can get from us or calling)

I have assisted someone in setting up their own account and doing just that (they had originally applied over the phone but had the app number). That was months ago though.

What am I missing here? Have they redesigned the site where that is no longer possible?

For the initial enrollment I was very happy with the efficiency of HS, for maintenance and followup and only occasionally I've had to create an account with the customer. Great disappointment on the new guidelines HS has to follow.
What's strange is that ACAExpress has no redirect, at least up to now.
Sherpa told me that all the " big guys" had to comply with the new guidelines, looks like ACA and Rabbitt are not in the league.

$50 from Messer Financial. It appears that you just add it to your cart pay and go. What cut they get for making thus available I do not know but it's the cheapest I've found. I pay $69 per month from Vipagents.net. If I see it anywhere else for less money I will post it here. As I mentioned in another thread before I feel that most GA's and FMO's are getting some kind of financial gain because I've seen this product vary fro $159-$50 depending on who offers it. Some places only give the discount if you contract with them for a certain amount of companies. Vipagents.net has the best webinar training on the INXS cloud platform in my opinion. I do not work for any of these companies. Just heard of how they operate, what they offered, picked my poison and got to work week 2 of OEP. If there is an upcoming training on the platform I'll share the information here.
You can google Messer Financial it seems to be the only one so far with the best price and no strings attached. No need to speak to anyone.

A couple of days ago I received the following notification from Sherpa:
"On Friday, November 27, CMS notified HealthSherpa that they now require all web brokers to redirect users to www.healthcare.gov to complete the APTC (subsidy) eligibility determination step of the application process."
Today I submitted 4 apps through Sherpa and as far as I can see, basically there is little difference from doing the app directly through HC.gov. Being optimistic, you probably have to do 70% of the government app before you are transferred back to Sherpa. Is this worth $10 at this point, I sincerely doubt it? I took about 20 minutes on each app and in one occasion the government app hung and got stuck and all the info was lost--had to start from scratch.
I still have to see if this is happening with Rabbittapp or ACAExpress. In Rabbit I have not seen this issue, don't know about ACA. According to Sherpa this new disposition would apply to all web brokers---still to be seen.
If what I've experienced is going to be extended, then the demise is around the corner.
As of 12/04/15 I have not seen any re-direct happening in Rabbittapp or ACAexpress. This makes them up to now, a better more efficient option.

As an added grievance, since this re-direct started, I'm having the final premium change from the original HS quote to the one you get once you're redirected from Hc.gov to HS. I'm mentioning this, because it never happened before.

I just wanted to add that there's a silver lining to the re-direct and it's that within Hc.gov, SS, Green card numbers etc. are optional and as such, with those clients who don't have the info on hand, you can submit the apps anyway. In ACAex and HS, SS and other info are mandatory fields. Ultimately, it makes no difference because in my experience, most all customers are being asked after the fact for all types of documents for verification purpose.

Diana,
I'd recommend telling your bosses that there's a whole bunch of agents looking for a reliable WBE to jump to, and that your time, and theirs would be better used by making the system available for a self-directed demo, and dropping the price to something less than 3x the competitor's price as it is now.

Might get you some business.

Just wanted to check in with our update since this came up here too:

1. The HealthSherpa SimpleEnrollment is back
2. All agent applications on HealthSherpa are now free.
No setup cost, no per-application cost.
