1) It's amazing to me the amount of whining when the "repeal bill" is shoved down their throat, how soon they forget.... what hypocrites. 2) Then, obummer doesn't have the guts to stand behind the life end counseling. Stick your finger in the air to see which way the winds are blowin' sir. 3) Now, Senate dems are trying to change the rules of fillibustering in the senate, a procedure available to protect the minority party. Don't they see, they will soon be the minority party. Absolute blind idiots. We'll be able to repeal everything!!

We'll be saved in 2012 !

CQ Today (1/5, Ethridge, subscription required) reports that Democrats blasted the move, and several of them wrote to incoming GOP committee chairmen saying, "It is insincere to run on a platform of openness and fiscal discipline, and then, in one of your first acts as the majority party, bring major legislation to the floor without any public hearings and without paying for the trillion-dollar cost of repeal." Incoming Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) also said, "Despite the public claims that they will put bills through regular order, they are poised to abandon that promise and bypass the committees to bring repeal straight to the floor."
Administration Drops Plans For End-Of-Life Planning.

The New York Times (1/5, A15, Pear) reports, "The Obama administration, reversing course, will revise a Medicare regulation to delete references to end-of-life planning as part of the annual physical examinations covered under the new health care law." According to the Times, "The move is an abrupt shift, coming just days after the new policy took effect on Jan. 1. ... While administration officials cited procedural reasons for changing the rule, it was clear that political concerns were also a factor."

This bill won't be repealed in 2012....Sorry man for the bad news. Get a reality check.

If repub wins all 3 branches in 2012, and the dems remove filibustering in the senate, I see it as being very easy to repeal if all these stars line up. It will of course be too late, and will not change our current predicament.

Problem is, it would be a death sentence to the republicans to actually repeal this bill. Its a good move to vote on it. Politics at its strangest.

They can replace the bill with something much better. Unfortunately, I don't see the replacement bill being more agent friendly in real life. It can be MUCH more user friendly though (and taxpayer friendly).

The Exchanges are not expected to be friendly at all.

You might have a better attitude if you want to become their friend. There's no law that says you have to paid for your time helping clients.

We heard about one agent from CA that hasn't earned a dime selling insurance for years. And I'm sure he thinks the exchanges are friendly.

Not sure that's good news. I think every insurance exec would be tickled to cut the agent out of the delivery system. It increases the bottom line.
