The Dismantling of ObamaCare - Ongoing Updates.

I don't think those that voted for him realized or realize he is one of the swamp inhabitants. His actions speak louder than his words. You never know when his words are true and they frequently are false when not outright lies. His actions are in line with his beliefs. Larger government that he controls and profits from. Hotel proprietor in chief WTF!!!

Give it up Libby, you've only got a little over 94 months to go until President Pence takes office.

I'm probably in the minority here...but the Republicans had the last 7 years to come up with something better than what they proposed. The ACA leaves a lot to be desired it's true.

I don't think the plan as it currently stands has a chance, nor do I believe they will be able to do anything about it moving forward.

It's time we seriously started talking about Universal Health Care simply because it may be the only solution that makes sense moving forward.

Hate mail can be directed to my IM box.

I know you said in another thread that you have a tough time making sales I believe but most people on this board don't like the idea of paying 50% or more in taxes just because the poor and the sick want better or cheaper coverage.

It may be a better idea for you, but I'm 37, healthy and pay $244 for my good Pre ACA plan. Why make it worse for people like me? There's always going to be people that are unhappy.

I'll probably get CCs of that mail.

We have family members, around age 70, who are on Medicare. They pay $130 for Part B. Each pays about $180 for a Plan F supplement and they pay about $40 for their drug plan.

That is $350 a month or $4200 a year (I may be off by a few dollars.)

They never see a medical bill (but they do have some out of pocket drug costs.)

Why can't everyone have that deal? Becasue of their age they use medical services way more than the millions of under 30 year olds do (or will.)

You guys are the experts on why this won't work, but this much I can tell you. If the administration and Congress tries to cut Medicare benefits (I'm told he wants to scale back Plan F) even my elderly family members and all their friends will take to the streets, get arrested etc. There is nothing else that they care as much or as deeply about.... not taxes, not foreign policy, not the price of gas... nothing.

Oh... and they vote... every election... without fail... either in person or by mail. And they donate money too. How many under 30 year olds can say that?

Decisions are made by those who show up...

More hocus pocus.

1. Medicare is that cheap because every working american and employer has payroll taxes to subsidize the cost. Weekly.
2. You're late to the riots, plan F is no longer avail to T65 come 2020. It already happened. Oops. Doesn't fit your timeline.

You mean he can't blame it on Trump. Nice try Shakespeare.:skeptical:

Very likely. Pinch Trump. He needs to stay!!

Why are you always wanting to pinch President Trump? That's kind of weird.

"Today I learned before 1973 it was illegal in the US to profit off of health care. The Health Maintenance Organization Act of 1973 passed by Nixon changed everything

And to be clear, it wasn't illegal for the insurance companies to make money, it was illegal for them to make unlimited money - they were non-profit organizations which meant they were limited to (I believe) 12% profits. Which meant they were obliged to reinvest any money they made above 12% profit margins into things like patient care."

I wonder if this is 100% true..
