I won't derail the thread but I'm just gonna say, a lot of people really do this.
I do and most of my clients do.
Even those who can benefit from WL or UL still max fund and then end up with a lot of term to cover their DB need.

Not true .. I have recently found that many FE folks have bought no insurance and have instead invested in tattoos.
