The Referral Secret of the # 1 Financial Advisor

I've talked to Craig Randall a few times and he has helped me out with some informal coaching.

My question is this: why not subscribe (free) to Senior Market Advisor. I do. It is a great magazine.

For that matter, you can go to their Website and read whatever articles by Craig or anyone else you want (also free).

I'm a bit fuzzy on the point of the newsletter.

$398 includes all the things on the page you looked at, and what you probably didnt notice was ... depending on which cards you actually send, your first approx 100 cards, and a lifetime license to the software and system..

This may seem strange as it's sort of an offer for your offer, but if this is your product that you sell, you would probably be much better off with a professional flash presentation for your product. I just went to the webpage and began to watch the video, but I always hate watching someone stand there and talk with some bland graphics so I stopped watching and closed out the page. You can check out the products we offer (we are an independent distributor for the company) at www.titaniumintroductions.com and watch some of the presentations that have already been created for various marketing segments (i.e. financial advisors, real estate agents, small businesses) to get an idea of how it could help you. Just a thought.

Sounds like SendOutCards.com to me. Nothing wrong with it if you are OK with MLM operations. Of course it may be something else. You should ask Steve before you pay. It's the smart thing to do. He won't see this as he has me on "ignore" (which is probably another smart thing to do!)

Thank you for your honest feedback. I understand what youre saying. And do agree. However; the intent of the video was to be homespun and to simply illustrate that in a mere 5 minutes ... anyone who can operate a web page could easily accomplish several very powerful marketing activities in 5 minutes per day - or less.

Im kind of the opposite too though. I like to see the REAL thing in action - not some programmers over-glitzed FLASH video which depicts perfection.

Oooops [not sure if your talking about the video of me using the system or of Dave Frey talking about what the newsletter is all about]

Not sure you, the owner of another insurance marketing system, are the target audience though either. :-) Im sure your interests are elsewhere.

BTW - we have about 150 of those CD's you make in cases for one of the other principles on our shelves in the supply room - back in hte days when the company was Cold Call Cowboy or something like that. They are pretty nice. Pretty strong follow up piece for new prospects or after a networking meeting.

We're always looking for more ways to generate referrals and I have seen the same kind of product you are showing before. It's a good idea, but we always hand write our birthday cards and whatnot, print our own labels, and use our own postage machine. Looks a bit more professional than an automated card I think, but it's a good tool for someone who doesn't want to spend the time doing things the way we do.

As far as the CD flash presentation, it's really a great marketing piece and while it's not cheap, we have made significantly more in commission from the use of it than it cost to have produced (and we probably still have about 1000 left to hand out). We send them to every client on our larger cases that aren't local, always leave them with people on an appointment, and attach a link to the presentation with every e-mail and have had many people call us back because they thought it was much more professional than what the other agents who keep calling them were doing. Not to mention the referrals it has helped generate....many of the high-net-worth estate planning cases we have done really appreciate the professional approach and have no qualms recommending us to their friends and family. It's a lot easier for them to hand off one of our discs to someone than giving them a name or business card because so many people are afraid to call and just want to see what you're all about before giving you any information.

Labels? Postage machine? Doesn't that defeat the point of handwriting the cards?

I can do far more interesting things with this system that is of interest to the client - than my handwriting or a fancy label. Like:

A picture of their web page on the front of the card
Their picture with a thought bubble making a funny comment
Pictures of their business ...

Here's how I overcome the illusion that a handwritten note with a pen is more personal ... my image cards blow away the personalization others think they achieve by smearing ink and licking an envelope.

Here's a new clients Thank You Card for placing their products liability insurance with us. Pic is off their website ... took 10 minutes to make.
