Don't think it's so difficult to make alot of money in the insurance industry because it's not. Basically it all goes back to the fundamentals laid out years ago. Hard work, honesty, proper networking, and a few things like that is all it takes. Of course product knowledge and integrity goes without saying.

Within three and a half years of starting my own agency my annual income reached $100,000. By the fourth it went to almost $175,000 and the fifth went over $250,000. I did nothing special, no direct mail, purchased no leads etc...

How about a little additional detail. Did you have any experience when you started? Who are you with? What products do you sell? That would help flesh it out a lot better.
 
I can't believe he thinks its easy and he only made $250,000 in his fifth year. Heck, I could barely survive on that....

Oh, this is the internet, I don't have to prove that I made $750K last year, do I?
