Thoughts on ColeXdates

We use cole's homeowner's X-dates lists for our telemarketers & they get us 2-3 personal lines p&c leads per hour off them. never had them call out of a phone book so i don't know if that's saying much.

What kind of script do you use? I have been thinking about bringing somebody in inhouse.

so in an average year with roughly about 260 working days...you're cold calling yielding about an average of .52 x date leads a day....that's not very efficient

Where do you get the .52? If someone is calling and got 500 in a year, that means they averaged around 2 per working day, assuming they cold called every day.

I believe that was also for commercial insurance with much higher premiums.

No, they don't advertise them as looking for insurance and I used their standard program. I just think the people on the list may tend to get more calls b/c they are up for renewal. I would maintain that a person can get as good or better results with a much less expensive or free list of leads. Cole x-date leads are expensive and non productive. I also found the people at Cole to be rude and difficult to work with. My advise is still to just stay away from that company.

I have used Coles in the past for Homeowner Insurance mailings. Good data, fair price (be sure to ask about discounts for carriers you are appointed with), easy to use interface. No complaints.

What is even more fascinating than how this old thread got bumped is poor Glenotto, he waited 2 years before he ever even posted and then disappeared after 2 posts. I wonder if the Colex people took care of him....
