Dems threatening to force a floor vote. All I can say is, go for it baby. Nothing could be better at this time than to force a vote and get reps on record as supporting a plan that the Senate has said it will not support and that they must defend back in their districts during the recess.
If they want to hang themselves, I can deliver rope free within the lower 48 states.

I agree force the vote, fail miserably and show these people for their true colors. Not one has read the 1000+ pages anyhow. Shame on them. At least I read 600+ pages before basing an opinion.

The goal here is to show that they are close to an agreement. Given how hard they are working on appearances, they are no where close to having something to vote on. Of course, this doesn't mean they won't vote and then try to fix it later, just means they shouldn't.

My personal feeling is they shouldn't have a vote until they can answer the question of what the public option is. This bill will put a lot of people on this plan, shouldn't we know what the plan is?

As long as they 'say' they will have a vote soon, people will think it is close, that signficant issues have been resolved. If they do have the vote in August, it will be very expensive to taxpayers.... Pelosi to Congressman - I really need your vote on this.... Congressman to Pelosi - I don't like the bill, it costs to much for to little..... Pelosi to Congressman - Don't worry about that, what if we include some new highway funds for your district? Congressman to Pelosi - Add in a new Library, an alternative fuel research grant, and your support for a bill of my chosing in the future, you can count on my vote.

It'll end up closer to three or four trillion (or maybe ten) by the time it's done.

Rule number one in politics is when your opponents are slitting their own throat you just stay out of it.

The Republicans and insurance lobbyists and all of that should just lay low for the next few days and let them tear each other apart. Obama desperately wants to be able to say that it is Republicans and insurance lobbyists who are torpedoing him. So far the lethal hits have come from other democrats, the CBO, and the folks back home who are scared of federal spending and this is not even counting the opposition in the Senate. I'd just stay out of it for a few days until they go on recess. All of these insurance agent association lobbyist clowns should just stay out of it. No one cares about insurance agents and it is not helpful.

The two plans are ridiculously huge in terms of paper. Hannity brought them on last night and you know that none of these Dems have read an entire page. How can they even think they are ready to try and pass this legislation. It is criminal. I wonder how long it will take to undo it...

It's obvious their(far left Dems) reform intentions has nothing to do with health care. All about control and nothing more. I'm absolutely sick of hearing Obama lie to the public everytime he speaks. It's like he can't help himself, just happens.

He needs to 'recalibrate'...
