TN Med Supp for Under 65

Neither of my current clients will come close to qualifying. It's a shame...

I agree, it is a shame. However, what is really a shame is that they did not take a Med Supp when they were in the Open Enrollment period. They really only have themselves to blame.

People do not want to talk to an insurance agent. They all "know" that we only exist to "rip them off" so they never call us. Especially those new to Medicare believe that they can "do it themselves" without the help of an agent. I have run into hundreds of them.

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I do not think they ever had an OEP as under 65 on disability. There is no state legislation that gives an OEP for under 65 here. My understanding is that the regular OEP requires you to be new to medicare AND 65 years of age. Am I wrong about this?

No, you are right about this. In Tennessee about the best bet for disability enrollees is a MAPD.

2 + 5= uh....uh....7, me thinks.....

Had a man go off of the deep end up here and get into a violent confrontation with his wife because she couldn't find his tube of Clearasil....

He then went to a shooting range....2 deputies went there to arrest him for domestic violence and he shot and killed the 2 deputies. He left the scene and then was run off of the road by LEO about 4 miles from my house. Gun fire exchange and he was shot and killed.

Unfortunately, that doesn't help these clients right now. :(
