Traffic Ticket in Borrowed Car.

If I borrow a friend's car and get a moving violation (speeding ticket, phone operation, etc.), will my friend's insurance go up? Or will the tickets go strictly against my license and my own insurance? Or both? Friend's car is fully insured and I have insurance on my own vehicle too (which I wasn't driving at the time; hence friend's car).

Thanks in advance.

A moving violation will go against your record, and if applicable, will be rated to your insurance.

Your friend will know nothing about it on his insurance.

Unless...
Its a redlight camera, which will send the ticket to the vehicle owner, not the operator. Ooopsss. I hate those things, even though I've never been ticketed by one, I still hate those things.

Thank goodness, they yanked them down in LA and for those that hadn't paid their tickets, they get to skate away Scott free.

The 'law-abiding' folks that paid...get no refunds and get to feel like schmucks for paying, gotta love L.A. :1tongue:

Beware that's L.A. city only...all those 'nice' little surrounding cities may still have theirs up.
