Trying to Find WC Company Based on Policy Number

I'm trying to help a client get loss runs...he doesn't know who the company is. He says the policy number is WC with 8 numbers. WC########.

I'm in CA, anyone have any ideas?

It's a workers compensation policy, I'm pretty sure west coast life doesn't write work comp. Thanks for offering a suggestion though.

The company name should be on the placard that is supposed to be posted in his office. Otherwise try to contact NCCI directly and they should be able to determine the carrier based on his FEIN #.

Look it up with the WCIRB, all you need is the FEIN.

Also what kind of poorly managed company "doesn't know" who their work comp carrier is? They pay premiums, don't they? That doesn't bode well.
