Turning 65

ITs called puffing...

In regards to T-65s...

I have had success, as well as others in our agency, calling people 4 or 5 months before their birthday....

But I can understand peoples frustrations, its a dog eat dog market

Hello My name is William Norrick, I have CMS Approved Med Supp scripts. I have a Lead company where we have Experienced Telemarketers that set pre-set appointments for Medicare Advantage/Medicare Supp. Our scripts are really effective and we can provide you Top Quality Appointments. I can provide you more information if you wish to contact me (724) 703-4417. We use TPV Third Party Verification we make sure each appointment is Agreed with the Elder before it is set. Let us do the work, while you go out on the field. You just have to worrie about us setting the appointments and you just go to them. We can set over 20 appts a day if a company needed us too. Thanks!

You must understand that we hear this on a regular basis from all sorts of people. Everyone claims to have that "magic system" that no one has discovered before.

I believe that you charge $20.00 for your appointments, is that correct? I don't remember what your minimum order is.

If in fact your system of getting appointments is as superior as you claim it is then there are a large number of agents on this board who work in the senior market that will potentially be your best customers.

I have a suggestion, pick three experienced agents from this board who know and work the senior market and give them each five set appointments. Let them go on those appointments and report back to the group. If your appointments are as good as you say they are those agents will come back with glowing reports.

I'm sure John, healthagent, would help you select some really good agents who work in the senior market.

Your only investment is a little time to prove to us that you can deliver everything you say you can.

If you are not interested in this proposal then that in itself is very telling.

Thanks Frank - I'll take you up on that soon.

Also, is there a place where I could pick up a Medicare & You 2007 Guide? I have the electronic form, but am not very interested in printing 116 pages.

I tried ordering one from 1800-medicare, but no success thus far.
Superchief, if you like, I will mail you one. Just send an address (PO box or whatever) by pm.

Several agents mention they have great T65 lists. What's a good source other than Sales Genie?

I often pick up extra copies at my local library.

Wow! This thread's been dormant a while then Whammo... some truth twisting telemarketer lights it up again!

Thanks Kimber, but I got a few already.

I found a great place for T65 lists, there cheap and massive, but unfortunately not scrubbed against DNC, so you have to do that yourself. Nonetheless, they are a useful tool. I'm sure Frank has made light of this before, but your success rate is generally higher on those already paying too much for their med supp. They cost more, but I get more sales per # of cold calls on a 67+ list than I do on a T65.

And to add to what Insurance Guy mentioned, you'll increase your efforts by calling them early in that first 6 months. Give you a better chance of being first in the door and locking that relationship.

I get all my T65 lists by County and 6 months in advance of their Birthday. From there I to mix up my calls from day to day. Spend a day calling 67+ then a day calling T65 and so on. May not be the best strategy, but it keeps me on my toes and always talking to different levels of prospects.

SuperChief:

Where do you get your T65 lists. I use to work in the telesales department of UHG but am now a field agent for the first time.

Any suggestions you could provide me would be greatly appreciated. I am in Western New York and my email is [email protected]

It almost really doesn't matter who you buy a list from. There are only so many people in a given zip code that are about to turn 65. Every company that is even close to being reputable and offering a quality product can only give you the same names.

That said, I have found that Lead Concepts lists is one of the companies that has the most current, up to date info. Some companies haven't updated their list for years and the people on the lists are no longer at that phone number or address or not still among us. But, their lists are very cheap just like the agents who buy them.

However, they are a little more expensive than lists you can buy from other companies. Agents always seem to be looking for the cheapest thing they can buy. (Why people are not willing to make a solid investment in their business is beyond me.)

When one buys the "cheapest thing available" it is usually worth exactly what they pay for it. NEXT TO NOTHING!
